Social skills: We provide opportunities for preschoolers to share materials, take turns, respect and listen to others, and work alone.
A challenging developmentally appropriate curriculum encourages children to initiate their own learning through play and enhance their skills in relating to others.
Cognitive skills: We provide opportunities for preschoolers to learn from exploring and experimenting with developmentally appropriate equipment and materials. Caregivers model language by asking and answering questions and providing activities for speech which encourages their language development.
Emotional skills: We provide opportunities for preschoolers to experience success through the accomplishment of tasks and having a positive outlook of themselves to enhance their self-concept and self-esteem. Caregivers also encourage preschoolers to express and recognize appropriate feelings towards each other.
Physical skills: We provide experiences throughout the day for preschoolers to explore their physical limits indoors and outdoors.
A variety of equipment and materials are provided to enhance preschoolers gross and fine motor skills.
